letmessiesplay:

Growing up doesn’t mean that you can start watching R rated movies

Growing up doesn’t mean that you can start lying and cheating

Growing up doesn’t mean you can start drinking and doing drugs

Growing up doesn’t mean you can stop respecting others, whether they are older or younger than you

Growing up doesn’t mean that everyones opinion is invalid

Growing up doesn’t mean you will always get your way

Growing up doesn’t mean that you can start responding with  ”YOLO” for everything you disagree with

Growing up doesn’t mean that you can curse every time you are angry  or just because “that’s how you talk”

Growing up means taking responsibility, loving one another, learning to forgive. Learning to move on, teaching one another, helping one another. Learning to grow.

YOLO means you only live once but..  do you want to live ONCE here on earth and die.. then… that’s it? Do you ever think you can go to hell?

Do you make bad decisions that you know may harm you or another person because “you only live once” ?

Do you know in your heart where you are going when you die? Do you know if you’re going to heaven or hell? does that even matter to you?

When we are little we are taught not to curse, we are taught to say “Please” and “Thank you” we are taught to behave and respect people and their opinions.

Why does this change as we get older? Why do we reach a point where we think “oh, I can curse now.” or “I don’t have to respect you”

Why and when does it become “okay” to watch films that have dirty scenes or horrid language? How can you even allow yourself to listen to those words or watch those scenes?

What are you teaching your children by watching or listening to these things? Are you contradicting yourself?

I believe that we should be men and women of God. Yes, that’s right. GOD. Does God want you watching filthy movies? No. Does God want you listening to filthy music? No.

Now I know that not everyone is a Disney watching G rated type of person but there are a lot of people out there who bash those who are “G” rated folks. Why is that okay? How can you bash someone for wanting to watch “UP” over a movie such as “Limitless” ?

Is it because it’s a cartoon? is it because they don’t have foul language? is it because they don’t have dirty scenes?

As men and women of God, we cannot think in a way where we start to allow things into our home that will harm our relationship with God. We cannot tolerate these things!

Where has our purity and innocence gone?

This is the girl I’m marrying next summer. Dang she’s awesome. She excites me!

Not really fitness related but it is very important to take some time and look at the good deeds that go on on a daily basis. The funny little moments that bring a smile to your face, and the reason to remember that we are all one people on this earth together.

I think way too much and keep myself up over it at least a couple of nights a week. Bah
